NOTES

This one was very difficult. First, I can find nothing to tie these two girls together. I would assume that since they are photographed

together that they are probably sisters but can find nothing to prove this. Second, I believe the person who wroteMary's married name
probably got it wrong as there is no record of a MaryShire married to a Thum/Thums. There is however a record of a Mary Shire's marriage
to a John Tuhn which is similar and which I believe after research is correct, (but I have been wrong before). I have listed this Mary Shire
to the right. Third, and strangest is Margaret Agnes "Maggie" Shire. Her obituary states her parents were Peter and Lena (Baker) Schiron
and that she was married to George Phillip Blair. The marriage record for George Blair in McLean County, Illinois states he married a
Margaret Shire. I find absolutely no Schiron's in any census records for the entire state of Illinois. There is a Mark Schiron with a WWII
draft registration and SS Application that state he was born in 1878 in McLeanCounty, Illinois but that is it. It is as if the family (or at least
the children changed their last name for some reason. And as for Peter and Lena, Margaret's supposed parents, I can find absolutely no
record of them anywhere. So what you see above is the best I can find.
