NOTES

This is my best guess for these two. Concerning Anna Schmenteck, I find no surname anywhere in the United States with the

spelling "Schmenteck" and assume that it is a misspelling by whomever wrote on the photograph. The closest I find is Ann
Huber's married name "Schmandt". I do find family connection between the "Schmadt" families and the "Janke" families although
I did not find a direct connection between the two in the photograph. Concerning Anna Janke, there were multiple women with the name
and at least one other with a father with same name. These two were chose because of their age which fits with the approximate age
of the photograph and because of the family connection. Perhaps someone out there has a photograph that can either prove or
disprove what I have listed.
