MRS. JESS ENGEL, nee ALMA PFLUGHOEFT passes away at Parents Home at Medford Wednesday.

Word was received here Wednesday of the death ofMrs. Jess Engel, nee Miss Alma Pflughoeft, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Pflughoeft, former residents of this city, which

occured at the home of her parents in Medford that day. Mrs. Engel was born on the farm of her father in the town of Forestville and moved with her parents to Medford.
Shortly after moving to Medford taking up training for a nurse and was employed for four years in that capacity at the state home at St. Paul when she was untied in
marriage to Mr. Engel and they moved to Portland, Oregon. Mrs. Engel's health failed and they then took up their residence in North Dakota remaining there until last November
when she was brought to the home of her parents to spend her remaining days. Decease is survived by her parents, three sisters, Mrs. Albert Ponath of this city,
Emma of Medord and Mrs. August Urlrich of Chicago; and four brothers, Ernest of Algoma, Edward of Chicago, Herman of Indiana and Werner of Medford. The remains
will be brought here for burial.
