NOTES

His mother remarried after his father died in in 1887 to a  Henry Van Reed High (whose father was a
Samuel Hock and his mother a Elizabeth VanReed) according to FindAGrave.com and on his death
certificate Willoughby is listed with the surname "High" of his stepfather although when alive and
married in 1880 he went by the surname of Hock. Very confusing.
