NOTES

Her mother was first married to Mark Yocum. Do not know if he died or what, but she was married
to Isaiah T. Maris in 1841. Hannah was born in 1838 before her mother's marriage to Isaiah and in
the 1850 census her last name is Maris. Do not know if Isaiah adopted her or if that was just the
census takers assumption that she had the same last name. I saw on her daughter Ethel's
Social Security Applications and Claims Index her maiden name listed as Yocum.
